      眼下，正是水稻抽穗揚(yáng)花的時(shí)節(jié)。貴州鎮(zhèn)遠(yuǎn)，成片的稻田長(zhǎng)勢(shì)喜人。微風(fēng)拂過(guò)，綠油油的稻浪翻滾，一幅“喜看稻菽千重浪”的夏日治愈畫(huà)卷徐徐展開(kāi)。 

      These days mark the season when rice plants shoot out into ears and bloom across the fields. In Zhenyuan County, Guizhou Province, vast stretches of rice paddies thrive with vibrant growth. A summer breeze sweeps through, sending ripples across the green rice waves, like a healing summer painting.

      稻田中，高的是“父本”水稻，矮的是“母本”水稻，揚(yáng)花授粉是水稻制種的關(guān)鍵環(huán)節(jié)?！摆s花人”兩人一組，手持長(zhǎng)繩，一人一頭，穿梭在稻田中，用長(zhǎng)繩掀動(dòng)剛剛吐蕊的稻穗，將“父本”稻花花粉揚(yáng)起，促進(jìn)“母本”充分授粉，以提高水稻產(chǎn)量，這一過(guò)程被稱(chēng)為“趕花”。

      In the paddies, taller "male parent" rice plants stand alongside shorter "female parent" rice plants. Pollination during flowering is a critical stage in rice breeding. Farmers work in pairs, holding a long rope between them as they walk through the fields. They gently sway the rope to brush against the blooming rice panicles, lifting pollen from the male plants to ensure thorough pollination of the female plants. This technique, known as "flower chasing," enhances rice yield.
